The following is a reflection written in response to the death of a loved family member. It's absolutely beautiful and I hope it touches you.

By Carol L. (Partsch) Kohan

It's time for me to go home, let me go.
I have so many things to do and see.
You will feel lonely and want to cry.
Remember the happiness you gave me.

It's time for me to look above, let me go.
I gave you all the love I could.
Look for the memories within your heart.
But now I have to travel alone.

It's time for me to do my part, let me go.
I can't take away the dark shadows.
Healing your broken heart might be impossible.
But I can pray, Lord keep your soul safe.

It's time for me to know the lord, let me go.
I'll be quite busy discovering His secrets.
Thank you for the love you each have shown.
Be happy that we had so many years to share.

It's time for me to heal your fears, let me go.
I won't be far away, for surely there's always tomorrow.
If you need me, call my name and I will come.
It's only for a while that we must part.

Its time for me to listen, I hear His voice, let me go.
I know you can't see me or touch me, but I'll be there.
Hold each other close and say, “I'm sorry,” “Please forgive me,” Thank you,” or “I love you,”
Then, when you must travel this way alone you have no regrets.

It's time for me to say goodbye, let me go.
I can't send you rainbows, but I can touch you with a prayer.
I can't take away your pain but listen you'll hear my love all around.
Our Family chain is broken once again ++++
God calls us one by one.

It's time!
